The Seattle Counseling Center is pleased to hired Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates interested in developing themselves into relationally oriented, ethically sound psychotherapists in private practice.

You’ll be considered if:

 
  • You hold a Masters of Arts or Science in a counseling related discipline

  • You hold an active Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate license in good standing

  • You’re able to commute to Queen Anne

  • You’re able to maintain a consistent and regular schedule meeting the needs of the company.

 

What you’ll do:

 
  • Provide excellent, empathetic, compassionate, and ethical psychotherapy either in person in Queen Anne or via secure video

  • Use the DSM to assess and diagnose clients, developing individualized treatment plans

  • Use a variety of treatments to support client’s clinical goals

  • Monitor progress throughout the treatment plan and progress notes 

  • Help clients develop insights into their experiences, feelings, and relationships

  • Help clients develop healthy coping mechanisms

  • Participate in weekly, individual supervision with WA State Approved Supervisor

  • Participate in all staff meetings

  • Participate in individual counseling

  • Maintain caseload of at least 20 weekly clients with 25 available clinical hours

  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner

  • Maintain a working knowledge of trends and developments in counseling and psychology

  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you’ll get:

 
  • $40-55/hour for every hour worked. No complicated math. Transparent pay schedule.

  • One hour weekly of clinical supervision from a WA State Approved Supervisor.

  • PTO - one hour earned for every 40 hours worked.
